About the Project

The aim is to recreate a working MAN locomotive, in a way that is affordable, acheivble and as close as possible to one of the original NBL Type 2 locomotive types.

Drawings for the Class 21/29 are incomplete. All the bogies drawings are available, but the initial plan is to run with all the 27 running components. The bodyshell has sufficient in common with the Hydraulic version, see photo D6332 by Peter R. Foster IDMA, to be adapted.
A loco with all ancillary systems, and sharing the corridor nose doors, and BTC Type 2 cab designs, has been sourced. Advice is being sought from several Railway Engineers.
